A woman has died from her injuries after she was struck by an Amtrak train at a railroad intersection in Lakeland on Thursday.
The incident occurred in the railroad intersection of Highway 92 E. and Fairway Avenue in Lakeland.
The victim has been identified as 60-year-old Brenda Salyers.
Fairway Avenue was closed in the area of Highway 92 E. and E. Main Street during the investigation, but has since reopened.
