ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — The Collective St. Pete was made for these challenging times.

"The first thing people say when they come here is, 'I'm not leaving,'" says Dani Mae, one of the communal space's co-founders.

Located on 4th Street in downtown St. Pete, this calming safe haven wants to be an affordable option for teachers and students who embrace mind, body, spirit wellness and peacefulness.

Massage therapy, yoga, ayurvedic treatments, herbology, breatheology and more are taught here.

The rent is affordable for whomever wants to use the space. That means the classes are equally affordable for guests.

"Right now during COVID, these are very uncertain times, especially financially," says Dani Mae.

It's risky opening a business during the pandemic. But this calming sanctuary was opened because of the pandemic.
