PALM HARBOR, Fla. — A 14-year-old boy was injured after being struck and run over by a vehicle in Palm Harbor.
Palm Harbor Fire Rescue said the teen was in the median possibly attempting to cross on US-19 at Alderman Road when he stepped into the road and was struck by a vehicle.
A second vehicle collided with the first vehicle, which ran over the teen.
The teen was Bayflited to St. Joeseph's Hospital and there is no update on his condition.
Palm Harbor Fire Rescue said Florida Highway Patrol is investigating.
Drivers should avoid US-19 northbound lanes as FHP troopers are currently investigating.
