ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — St. Petersburg Police are investigating the drowning of a missing 3-year-old boy.
Police said at 11:28 a.m., officers received a call about a missing 3-year-old boy at Lakewood Estates. They arrived at the home at 11:32 a.m.

During the search for the child, at 11:40 a.m., an officer found him in a pond. It was about a block and a half away in the 1600 block of Alcazar Way S.
The child received CPR and was transported to the hospital. He was later pronounced dead.
Officers are still investigating.
