St. Petersburg detectives arrest suspect that shot and killed teen

St. Petersburg Police Department Major Crimes Unit detectives have made an arrest in the homicide that occurred at 14th Avenue South and 40th Street on Friday. 
 
According to officials, they responded to a call at 7:04 p.m. regarding several shots being fired.
 
When police arrived to the scene they found Trevion Larkins, 15, of 1235 40th Street South, at that intersection. Larkins had been shot and had already died due to his injuries. Witnesses stated that an argument led up to the fatal shooting.
 
During the investigation, detectives were able to develop a suspect. Marquez Bingham, 18, was identified as the shooter.
 
Bingham turned himself into detectives at the St. Petersburg Police Department Saturday morning at 11:00 a.m.
 
Bingham was charged with Second Degree Murder and booked into the Pinellas County Jail.
