St. Pete police searching for carjacker who ran over victim's foot

St. Pete police are searching for a carjacker who ran over a woman’s foot Monday while stealing her car.
The carjacker, believed to be a teenager, got into the woman’s car about 11:15 a.m. as she added air to her tire at a Wawa at 2465 22nd Ave. N., according to the St. Petersburg Police Department.
The 54-year-old woman tried to confront him, but he punched her, causing her to fall, police said. The carjacker drove over her left foot while leaving in her 2012 Scion XD hatchback.
The suspect is believed to be between 14 and 16 years old with a thin build. He stands about five feet, six inches.
