ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. -- St. Pete police is mourning the loss of one of its own.
St. Pete police announced on social media Monday that the department had to euthanize "Nero," a K9 officer, due to a brain tumor.
"He was a loyal servant to St. Petersburg since May 2014," St. Pete police said on Twitter.
Nero was seven years old, St. Pete police said on Twitter.
