ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — A child is in critical condition after an elevator became stuck between floors.
St. Petersburg Fire Rescue said the incident happened around 7:30 p.m. in the 800 block of Brightwaters Boulevard Northeast.
Crews located the child and technical rescue personnel removed part of the ceiling to rescue the child.
The child is currently being treated at Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital.
Police said the incident appears to be an accident but the cause remains under investigation.
