Restaurant in Tarpon Springs temporarily shuts down due to coronavirus exposure

TARPON SPRINGS, Fla. -- A restaurant in Tarpon Springs is temporarily shutting down after being exposed to coronavirus.

Rusty Bellies Waterfront Grill, Inc. on Dodecanese Boulevard said it is closing until Tuesday, June 16 due to the exposure.

The restaurant released the following statement on social media:

"Due to the safety of our staff and guests, we will be closed until Tuesday 6/16 due to a Covid-19 exposure. This is unfortunate and unexpected and we apologize for any inconvenience. We sincerely appreciate your patience and understanding during this unprecedented time."

The announcement comes as state health officials report 73,552 coronavirus cases in Florida and a death toll of 2,925, as of Saturday morning.
