PALM HARBOR, Fla. — The Pinellas County Sheriff's Office is investigating the drowning of a 30-year-old man.

Officials said they got the call around 1:46 p.m. of a drowning at the natural spring known as the "Blue Sink" at 2340 Rolling Oaks Drive in Palm Harbor.

Deputies learned 30-year-old Trevor Harris was free-diving in the spring with a snorkel and did not come back up.

Clearwater Fire and Rescue and Palm Harbor Fire Rescue divers attempted to find Harris, but could not due to the depth and the visibility of the water.

Officials said they were not able to find Harris.

The sheriff's office said impairment does not appear to be a factor and foul play is not suspected.

Recovery efforts are still underway.
