PINELLAS PARK, Fla. — A pedestrian was seriously injured after being hit by a police SUV on Thursday, officials said.
Pinellas Park police said the crash happened around 4:15 p.m. in the parking lot of a business located at 7561 49th Street.
The pedestrian was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries.
The officer who hit the pedestrian in his marked SUV was not injured.
Police said this investigation is in its early stages and will continue for several hours.
