CLEARWATER, Fla. — A man was rushed to the hospital and later pronounced dead after being pulled from the water in Clearwater Wednesday afternoon.

Police say 25-year-old Nicholas Baldwin worked with the jet ski rental business behind Shephard's Beach Resort.

Clearwater Fire and Rescue responded to the area a little before 2 p.m. Baldwin's coworkers noticed him missing, saw him just offshore and pulled him in where they began CPR.

Baldwin was taken to Morton Plant Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
