ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. -- Police are investigating a crash after a man was hit by a car in St. Petersburg Friday night.
St. Pete police responded to a call of a crash in the 3000 block of Central Avenue around 9 p.m. The driver involved in the crash remained on scene, police say.
The male pedestrian was not in a crosswalk when he was hit, police told ABC Action News' crews on scene.
The man was transported to Bayfront Health after he was hit by the car.
Officials did not say if the driver was charged in the crash.
