Florida Highway Patrol seeks assistance in search for hit-and-run driver in Pinellas

The Florida Highway Patrol is seeking the public's assistance in the search of a hit-and-run driver in Pinellas.

Catherine Scott Strazdins. 35, was walking in the intersection of 28th St. North and 41st Ave. North in St. Petersburg when a vehicle traveling northbound struck her shortly after 11 p.m. on Wednesday, according to officials.

The driver immediately fled the scene. Scott Strazdins was taken to Bayfront Hospital with critical injuries from the impact.

Currently, there is no information regarding the driver or vehicle.
