An elderly woman was seriously injured after a car smashed into her Pinellas Park home.
According to Pinellas Park Police, the female driver lost control on 100th Place North inside the Mainlands subdivision.
The elderly woman was sitting inside a room at the front of the house when the car struck.
She suffered a serious leg injury and was taken to a nearby hospital.
The driver of the car was not hurt.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
