PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla--Troopers are searching for tractor-trailer driver that caused a crash on the Howard Frankland Bridge.

The crash happened Saturday at 7:40pm on northbound I-275 and mile marker 26. A Road Ranger pulled over to assist a Cadilac SUV that had run out of gas. A Chevrolet car was traveling on I-275 when a semi-truck changed lanes into its path. The Chevrolet car crashed into the back of the SUV to avoid a crash with the semi-truck. The impact of the collision caused the Road Ranger's vehicle and the SUV to catch fire.

Three people had to be transported to Tampa General hospital with serious injuries. One person was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.

The semi-truck driver did not stop. A description of the truck is unknown besides a tractor-trailer heading northbound on I-275.
