Florida Highway Patrol says a 16-year-old was struck by a motorcycle on Ulmerton Road early Thursday morning.
At approximately 6:37 a.m., a motorcycle was traveling eastbound in the outside lane along Ulmerton Road west of 62nd Street North when the child walked into the path and was struck by the motorcycle, according to FHP.
The teen was transported to Bayfront Medical Center for treatment.
Officials have not released the condition of the teen at this time.
The roadway is clear.
