LARGO, Fla. — One person is dead and four others are hurt after a multiple-vehicle wreck in Largo early Sunday morning.

The Largo Police Department responded to a call of a crash around 2:15 a.m. at the overpass of U.S. 19 and 66th Street North. Upon arrival, officers found one of the passengers dead from the crash.

Police say a vehicle was traveling in the wrong way (south) in the northbound lanes and hit another vehicle that was driving northbound. The driver and the rear passenger of the wrong-way vehicle and two people from the other vehicle were all taken to local hospitals. All four injuries are believed to be minor, according to police.

The person who died from the crash was a passenger inside the vehicle that was hit by the wrong-way driver.
