A deputy with Pasco County Sheriff's Office rescued two dogs from a house fire over the weekend.

It happened Saturday night in the Moon Lake area.

When deputies arrived on scene, they were notified all people were out of the house and were safe.

Body cam video captured the heroics of the deputy.

As he approached the fire to verify all were safe, he noticed two dogs still on the property. Without hesitation, the deputy immediately approached the dogs, who were in direct proximity to the burning house, and rescued them, the Sheriff's Office said.

They were then returned to their owners, unharmed.

"While these types of calls for service are never easy, we are glad that we could be there during this time of need," PCSO said in a Facebook post. "This is a fantastic example of law enforcement going above and beyond to save everyone, including pets, in any situation. We fight as one with our community and this rescue demonstrates that perfectly."
