Sunlake High school student suspended for tweeting photo of gun with reference to school

The Pasco Sheriff's School Safety program is alerting Sunlake High School parents and students of their increased law enforcement presence at the school due to an investigation into a student tweeting a photo of a gun, referencing the school. 

Officials say there is no threat to the school and that deputies are at the school to help stop rumors and make sure the school day starts off safely. 

The student in question was identified on Wednesday night and has been suspended from school for 10 days with a recommendation for expulsion or reassignment to another school.
