Starting Monday, September 12, residents in Pasco County can finally gather trash and debris from the aftermath of Hermine and put it out for collection.

Items can be separated into furniture, appliances, construction materials, vegetation and hazardous waste. You must separate your trash.

Removal operations will run from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., seven days a week, for the next several weeks.

According to Pasco County officials, contractor-generated debris will not be picked up, residents are urged to not bag the debris and refrigerators should be empty with the door secured.

Meanwhile, FEMA crews will also evaluate damage from public property, such as damage to county owned buildings and land. This assessment is important because a Federal Disaster Declaration could be declared, which makes Federal dollars available.
