Possible road rage incident in New Port Richey leaves one man shot

NEW PORT RICHEY, Fla. — A possible road rage incident left a man shot in New Port Richey Sunday, police said.

Shortly after 9 a.m. Sunday New Port Richey police arrived on the scene of a shooting at the intersection of U.S. 19 and Cross Bayou Boulevard, the New Port Richey Police Department said in a media release.

They found a man who had been shot with a non-life threatening injury. He was taken by ambulance to Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point for treatment.

The incident appears to be a possible road rage, involving only the shooter and victim, the release said. There is no danger to the general public.
