The mother of a baby injured in a Port Richey drive-by shooting has been arrested on drug charges.
Linda Exline, 24, of Port Richey, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance. At the time of her arrest, she had hydromorphone and oxycodone in her possession.
Exline's bond has been set at $2,000.
On Sunday night, deputies received a call at 11:26 p.m. that someone had fired multiple shots at a home in the 7300 block of Westcott Drive. One of the bullets entered the front bedroom where a 1-year-old girl was sleeping. The shots hit the little girl in the wrists.
The child was taken to the hospital for treatment. Deputies say the mother of the infant, later identified as Linda Exline, is a documented gang member.
