Deputies in Pasco County are warning about a man who approached a girl at her bus stop.

According to deputies, a 15-year-old girl was encountered by a very suspicious stranger Thursday afternoon.

A photo from surveillance video back up the girl's story and showed that a man in a light colored BMW SUV drove by her several times as she walked home near the intersection of Washington Street and Orange Grove Ave.

He also asked her a bunch of questions.

“Where she was going? Where did she live? Did she need a ride,” said Sgt. Michael Rosa.

Detectives said the teen did exactly the right thing.

She didn’t talk to him, went straight home, and called her parents who then called police.

She also got a detailed description investigators used to draw a sketch of the possible suspect.

“Were his intentions evil? Was his intentions just looking for directions? What was his intentions with this young lady? We need to find that out,” said Rosa.

The Sheriff’s Office said the man in the SUV never got out and didn’t touch the teen, but they want anyone who recognizes him to call the Pasco County Sheriff's Office at 1-800-706-2488.
