ZEPHYRHILLS, Fla. — Pasco County Deputies are looking for a man they say peered into a child’s bedroom in Zephyrhills. They say he was spotted shortly before that on a ring camera, sneaking through a neighbors backyard.
One neighbor a few houses down says they were getting ready to look up at the blood moon Sunday when helicopters filled the sky over Goffaux street.
"When they brought out the canines, you got helicopters flying around and everybody’s on the Facebook pages like what’s happening, what’s going on is everything all right,” said Jessica Carron. "What was he thinking going through these rooms?”
Cristina Gonzales says her daughter’s ring camera captured him wandering through her backyard. She got an alert on her phone.
"I don’t sleep, I call my daughter every 20 minutes, are you okay? Close the door, don’t go outside with the dog, you know, we were so scared,” said Gonzales.
Deputies say another person saw him walking around houses and confronted him. Carron is thankful so many of her neighbors have cameras.
"The fact that it prevented a theft or possibly any kind of break in this time is very assuring,” she said.
