PASCO COUNTY, Fla. -- The Pasco County School District says its meal pickup program was in such high demand, some of the students were sent to different sites to pick up their food.
The school district initially designated one pickup day each week to provide five days worth of breakfast and lunch for each child. The school launched this program in hopes of alleviating some stress for families during this difficult time.
Now, the school district will put a new system in place to better deal with the demand. Parents are now asked to fill out a form before next week's meal pickup date.
