UPDATE: The medical examiner has identified the remains as Judith Therianos. Therianos went missing on March 14, 2016.

Pasco Sheriff's detectives and forensics are currently on the scene of a death investigation located in New Port Richey.
Units responded to a call on Thursday, specifically the wooded area north of 6633 US 19 off Green Key to a possible decomposed body. Upon arrival, the body was located and a crime scene established.
According to the Pasco Sheriff's Office, the the body appears to be female and is badly decomposed and skeletonized. Major Crimes will be continuing the investigation.
There is nothing more to provide on this until an identification and cause of death can be determined.
