HUDSON, Fla. — Pasco County Fire Rescue says one person is dead and three others are inured after a multi-vehicle crash in Hudson on Wednesday.

The crash happened on southbound US-19 at Jessup Lane around 3:30 p.m. and shut down all southbound lanes.

According to Florida Highway Patrol, Michael Kick, 32, was driving a 1994 Ford Taurus north on US-19, approaching the intersection of Jessup Lane, when he lost control. Kick traveled northwest across the grass median into the southbound lanes and entered the path of a 2000 Ford Mustang driven by Paul Babraitis, 62.

Troopers say the front of the Mustang hit the right side of the Taurus. Another vehicle, driven by Christopher Ahrens, 45, hit the back of the Mustang.

Kick was taken to an area hospital where he died from his injuries. Troopers say Paul Babraitis and his passenger Terese Babraitis were both transported for serious injuries.
