PASCO COUNTY, Fla. -- The Pasco County Sheriff's Office said at least five people were involved in a vandalism spree Saturday night that caused thousands of dollars in damage.

Surveillance video from homes in the Long Lake Ranch community captured the vandals running at full speed and drop-kicking a garage door.

The owner of the home seen on video on Fox Grape Loop said the repairs were estimated to be upwards of $,1500. His house was one of two deputies said were targeted Saturday between 7 p.m. and 9 p.m.

"Once it gets to this level, though, it's a little bit out of control. Where does the point of the parent stepping in recognizing that it was your child," Geoff Parsley said.

Parsley lives a few houses down from where his neighbor was targeted.

"I think it's just kids that maybe don't have their parents involved that much," Parsley said. "I think it's kids that have lost their focus a little bit on what they should be doing. If they are that close, in a golf cart, you know it's probably within two or three neighborhoods of us."

Another home was hit on Moorhen Way. Residents said the area usually is quiet and family-friendly, but there have been issues other than juveniles kicking in garage doors.

"Guns being shot off in the back of us just outside the neighborhood," Parsley said. "Where bullets have come and hit garage doors in the area. And, there's been a couple breaking and entering. It's getting a little scarier. I know that people have already started asking about it being a gated community what it would take, so it's sad we have to get to that level."
