Pasco County deputies responded to Athens Avenue in New Port Richey on Thursday, June 15 in reference to an aggravated assault.
Deputies say Justin Taylor, 22, threatened to kill his sister and a friend with a "gasoline cocktail" and a knife. Deputies located one "gasoline cocktail" and Fire Rescue confirmed it contained combustible liquid/gas. Deputies also located a gas can and a knife in the residence.
Arson investigators responded to the scene and Taylor was located and arrested.
While deputies were on scene they found a 2-year-old at the residence. A separate investigation into child neglect was launched in reference to the child's caregiver leading the child at the home. The child is now with family.
Taylor was charged with aggravated assault and possession of a fire bomb and remains in the Pasco County Jail.
