Homes damaged during Sunday morning storm

Posted

Several areas in Pasco County received heavy wind and rain Sunday morning.  The National Weather Service reported wind gusts reaching up to 40 MPH in the area.  ABC Action News received reports from residents in Hudson and Dade City.

Bobby Holman's farm was one of the worst hit.  Half of the roof covering his home was blown off.  Several trees in his yard were knocked over.

"I'm a little devastated right now, I didn't realize there was this much damage," said Holman.  Mother nature is the strongest force so you just never know, like i said all this happened within like five minutes," said Holman.

Holman does have insurance for his property.  His insurance company said they will be sending an adjustor to take a look at the damage this week.

Phillip Haddon's fence was knocked over by the storm in Hudson.  He believes the storm was a tornado.

"We headed for cover, because we didn't know if it was on the ground we just saw the branches coming up," said Haddon.

No injuries were reported during the storm.

"Thank the lord we are here and everyone is ok," said Holman.
