NEW PORT RICHEY, Fla. — A 16-year-old boy has been transported as a trauma alert after being hit by a F150 early Tuesday morning.
The Florida Highway Patrol said the 16-year-old, who is a student at Fivay High School, was wearing dark clothing when he darted across the northbound lanes of Little Rd, just south of Rye Street, in New Port Richey.
After being struck by the 2006 Ford F150, the teen was transported to Bayonet Point Medical Center as a trauma alert.
At this time, the 57-year-old man driving the F150 is not facing any charges.
