UPDATE: TECO Gas contractors have sealed the leak and residents have returned to their homes.

WESLEY CHAPEL, Fla. — Emergency services personnel are on scene of a gas leak in Wesley Chapel.
Pasco County Fire Rescue responded to the scene around 2:45 p.m. Wednesday. The gas leak is in the 5600 block of Killian Path in Wesley Chapel.
Authorities say that 15 homes in the area are being evacuated. No injuries reported at this time.
TECO Gas arrived on scene and found the gas line was larger than originally thought. It was also identified as a main gas line to the neighborhood. TECO Gas has to dig up and repair the broken gas main.
The break happened when contractors were clearing a vacant lot. Officials say it appears that a tree they were removing was wrapped around the gas line.
