VIDEO: Largo PD search for suspect in attempted carjacking; victim's teen was in car

The Largo Police Department is searching for the suspect in an attempted carjacking that happened at the 7-eleven on Roosevelt Blvd. on October 8. 

The victim, parked his 2008 Kia sedan in front of the convenience store around 12:25 a.m., leaving his 16-year-old child in the car, with the engine running. 

Police say the suspect opened the driver's door and got into the car, attempting to drive away. The owner of the car witnessed the attempted carjacking and immediately ran out of the store to confront the suspect. Surveillance video obtained by police, shows the driver physically attempting to remove the suspect from the car. 

 

 

 

The suspect ran from the incident. He is described as a white male, possibly in his 30's, around 6 feet tall, thin, wearing a long-sleeved, button-up shirt.
