Two men broke into a woman’s Largo home and attacked her. Now, one of those men is behind bars and the other is still on the run.
The victim, who does not want to be identified, said she is resting easier knowing police have one suspect in custody.
“They kept saying, 'Where’s the bag? Where’s the bag?' ... I keep my medication in a locked bag with me,” she said.
That bag is still with the victim in her home. She said October 24, 2015, two men broke in, pushed her down and stole her purse and medications. She fought back.
“I kicked him right in the balls, and I know who I kicked in the balls, so I knew who it was who threw me down in my own living room,” she said.
Police said it was 26-year-old Travis Neil Treder, who they arrested Monday. They said he kicked the victim and grabbed what medications he could find, then took off. Now, police are looking for his accomplice, 24-year-old Tony Klarides.
“I mean I didn’t know what they were going to do to me. I was yelling, 'Help! Help!” she said.
According to the police report, the victim was targeted. She said Treder had broken into her home before, but she never thought he’d come back. Now, finding the second suspect is in the hands of the police detective investigating the case.
“She says she’s going to be finding the other one. She knows who he is. I don’t know who he is, and she’s going to find him,” she said.
Police said Klarides is 5'7" tall and 160 pounds. If you know where he is, please call police.
