A Largo man is hoping to find the owner of a lost folded American flag that he found on the side of US 19 in Pinellas County.
When Ted Froberg found the flag, it was not weathered, almost in pristine condition and ceremonially folded.
He says it could just be a 1% chance that this flag is for a veteran who passed and that's why he's now searching for the owner.
Froberg tells ABC Action News that people have suggested he opens the flag to see if there's a note, name or anything to identify the flag inside.
"I don't want to do that, because I feel like I might be violating someone's property," he said.
His post has gone viral on social media in the Tampa Bay area.
