Largo detectives need help identifying knife-wielding burglary suspect

LARGO, Fla. — Largo Police Detectives are asking for the public's help identifying and arresting a burglary suspect who allegedly confronted homeowners while wielding a large knife.

Police say that on April 14, around 3:40 a.m., the unidentified male entered the victims' townhouse in the 7300 block of Ulmerton Road in Largo. The suspect was reportedly armed with a large black knife.

Police say that the suspect woke the victims in their bedrooms. When the victims confronted the suspect, he reportedly told them, "I'm the cops," and fled their home on foot.

The suspect was captured on nearby security video. 

The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 6-foot-2-inches, 250 pounds, with dark hair, a beard, and wearing cowboy boots.
