Clearwater police are searching for a person who called in a bomb threat at Morton Plant Hospital early Thursday.
Authorities found nothing significant during the sweep at the hospital and issued an all-clear after about 45 minutes, a Clearwater Police Department news release states.
Police responded to Morton Plant Hospital, 300 Pinellas St. in Clearwater, shortly after midnight in reference to a report of a bomb threat. Multiple police units, including canine officers, entered the hospital and conducted a floor-by-floor sweep of the medical center.
Officers also checked parking areas and adjacent locations.
The search continues for the caller, who police said they believe was a male, the release states.
