Clearwater Police call this one the "case of the beer bandit being nabbed."
On Monday, June 19, 2017, a man reportedly punched another man in the head and knocked him to the ground just to steal the man's beer from him.
Samson Lamar, 46, stole two Icehouse Edge beers valued at $1.98 from the victim after attacking him near San Remo Avenue and Franklin Street in Clearwater.
Police say the victim had just bought the cold beers from a convenience store when he was attacked by Lamar.
Lamar was found by police on the roof of a nearby shed off of Franklin Street and he was taken to the Pinellas County Jail. He has been charged with strong arm robbery.
