Possible meth lab found in Clearwater

Clearwater police officers and firefighters are investigating a suspected a meth lab at the Capri Mobile Home Park.

Authorities announced they arrested one person already in the case.

Clearwater Police and Clearwater Fire Rescue responded to a call at Lot 324 in the mobile home park at 24195 U.S. 19 shortly after 10 p.m. The mobile home is located just north of Sunset Point Road.

Clearwater police spokesman Rob Shaw said in a statement the department had received information about possible drug activity at the home.

When firefighters arrived on scene they cleared the mobile home immediately. Crews did not need to evacuate any other homes.

Detectives were questioning multiple individuals about the meth lab Thursday morning.

No information has been released about the person arrested or what charges they may be facing. The investigation continues.
