A woman in Clearwater did exactly what police want residents to do, "see something, say something."
The woman called police when she saw something suspicious in the back of a pickup at the corner of Belcher Road and Gulf To Bay Boulevard. She reported that she saw two feet sticking out from under some debris in the truck and was concerned it was a dead body.
Clearwater police tracked down the owner of the truck with the help of Pinellas Park police. When they looked in the back of the truck, they found a body, but not a real one. Turns out there were other body parts in the truck too, but not real body parts. They were Halloween decorations from a haunted house.
Clearwater police wants to remind everyone to never hesitate to call them if you see something that doesn't look right, even if they turn out to be decorations.
