Clearwater Fire & Rescue report an 18-month-old girl was taken to the hospital after being hit by a jet ski on Sunday.
The toddler was struck in the face by the Sea Doo on the Courtney Campbell Causeway.
The girl was treated at All Children's Hospital in Pinellas County for an eye laceration and released Sunday night.
"My baby is doing great. No major injuries. Thank God!" wrote Alicia Contreras, the mother of the girl. "She is definitely a miracle walking. Doctor's say she is extremely lucky! It could have been tragic!"
Officials have not explained the circumstances that led up to the jet ski rider striking the girl or if the driver will face a criminal charge.
