TAMPA, Fla. — USA Today's 10 Best Readers' Choice 2019 is holding a vote to name the top ten aquariums in North America.
The Florida Aquarium is competing with 19 other aquariums from California to Maryland to Vancouver.
Located in Tampa's Channelside district, The Florida Aquarium displays over 8,000 plants and animals using both fresh and saltwater environments.
There are exhibits featuring alligators, sharks, seahorse, river otters and bird. Guests travel through a mangrove forest to a beach where you can touch sharks and stingrays.
