SEFFNER, Fla. — A Seffner strip mall was targeted early Tuesday morning as burglars tried to smash and grab five different stores.

Business owners arrived to find their front doors smashed, glass lying on the floor and registers taken.

It happened around 4:30 a.m. Tuesday morning along Highway 92.

Each door was destroyed in front of Martha’s Family Restaurant, Martha’s Ice Cream, Salon J, TK’s Custom Cuts and Secret Place Nail Salon. Luckily, owners say nothing of value besides empty registers were taken.

What rattles owners most is the thief pulled into the outlet and flipped a breaker which turned off the power as well as the security cameras.

Luckily, those cameras were on battery backup and caught the entire situation unravel.

ABC Action News reporter Andrea Lyon interviewed one of the business owners who had a message for the person or people responsible.

The investigation is ongoing.
