TAMPA, Fla. — A brand-new gallery opens up in Tampa this weekend and their first exhibit is from a local artist who has ties to some big names in the music and entertainment industry. It’s called the All Art Studio.
A year ago, it was an empty warehouse by the airport. Now, it’s Tampa’s newest creative space.
“We are finding that there is a lot of artists out in the community in Tampa that have approached us, photographers and painters, who haven’t been able to show their art to their own families and want to have a gallery night for themselves,” said Martiza Astorquiza.
Astorquiza and her husband Alex wanted to provide that outlet, so they opened the studio. Everyone from sculptors, to musicians, to actors, to comedians are welcome.

“We’re bringing arts back to Drew Park,” said Astorquiza.
The studio’s inaugural exhibit features local artist Michael Braun, known for iconic pieces of pop culture fashion, like wardrobes for Randy Macho Man Savage, Jimi Hendrix and the Temptations.
His old sewing machine is on display as well as hand written letters from Hendrix.
Braun said when it came to Hendrix he couldn’t make the wardrobes fast enough.
“The girls are stealing clothes and he’s ripping clothes, he’s splitting pants, he’s tearing shirts,” said Braun.
Along with the fashion memorabilia, Braun also has 39 prints lining the walls. All Art Studio says no exhibit will be the same, if it’s interesting and it’s local it has a home.
“We felt there was a need for a place where all types of arts can live and perform and this is the space,” said Astorquiza.
