The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a wrong-way crash in Dover.

Troopers said a red Dodge Ram driven by James Cissell, 75, of Lithia turned the wrong way onto SR-60 from Turkey Creek Road around 12:15 p.m. on Friday.

Cissell traveled into the median, smashed into a sign, then reentered the wrong lanes of SR-60.  The truck sideswiped three other cars and eventually collided head-on with a Chevy Camaro driven by Teresa Flowers, 53, of Plant City, according to FHP.

Cissell's pickup flipped and landed upside down.

According to FHP, both Cissell and Flowers suffered serious injuries as a result of the crash.

Troopers believe alcohol was a factor.

SR-60 is closed in both directions as troopers investigate.
