Repairman electrocuted after touching live power wire at Tampa home

TAMPA, Fla. — A 45-year-old man died while conducting repairs on a home in Tampa after he accidentally touched a live power wire, police say.

It happened Wednesday morning at about 11:30 in the 1700 block of E. 17th Ave.

Jose Antonio Blanco was using a hydraulic lift to do the repairs when he accidentally touched the live TECO wire.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.
