HILLSBOROUGH, Fla. — Florida Highway Patrol says a 20-year-old pedestrian died after being hit by a pickup on U.S. 301.
FHP says a 33-year-old man was driving his 2018 GMC pickup truck northbound on U.S. 301 when the female pedestrian crossed into his path.
The woman was traveling eastbound across the road when she was hit. She was taken to an area hospital but died from her injuries.
FHP is working to notify the woman's next of kin.
