TAMPA, Fla. -- A man is dead and two others are hurt in a shooting in Tampa Monday night.

According to the Tampa Police Department, the deadly shooting happened near the intersection of East Cayuga Street and North 22nd Street around 10:30 p.m. A car pulled up next to another car and opened fire, hitting all three people -- two men and a woman -- inside.

The shooting victims then drove to the parking lot of TPD's District 3 office on North 22nd Street, where officers stepped in to help. A man in the back seat was later pronounced dead, police said.

The other two, the second man and a woman, were taken to the hospital

The deadly shooting had nothing to do with the George Floyd protests, TPD said. The shooting was also not random, according to police.

So far, no arrests have been announced as of Monday night.
