TAMPA, Fla. -- Tampa Bay sports radio WDAE is mourning the loss of one of its own.
Longtime sports radio personality Steve "Big Dog" Duemig has died Thursday morning, according to WDAE.
Duemig worked with WFNS from 1991 to 1996 before working with WDAE from 1996 to February 2018, WDAE said on its website. He was also the color analyst for the Tampa Bay Lighting for two seasons, according to WDAE's website.
"WDAE and iHeartMedia Tampa Bay would like to extend our thoughts and prayers to the friends and family of 'The Big Dog' Steve Duemig," WDAE said on its website.
Did 5 hours of radio today talking about the Big Dog & I could probably do 15 more— Jay Recher (@jayRecher) May 17, 2019

Just like this day, one of his final remote broadcasts at @SHRTampa
